Montello Foundation is a foundation dedicated to support artists who foster Juniper The Utah Juniper (Juniperus osteosperma) that grows in Nevada is a primary source of shelter and shade for the people and animals of Northeast Nevada. As it is one of the only trees that can grow in the Sagebrush desert, it is also one of the primary woods used in construction. It is also usually the first species of plant to grow after a fire; it enables the wildlife and woodlands to come back, and it is a symbol of physical strength. There are several Juniper groves on the Montello Foundation land as well as the surrounding areas that help sustain wildlife. These Juniper groves visually define the landscape, giving a unit of scale to the expansive view and then quite a different perspective to the landscape once one steps insides the grove.
